Brunner

CRONZ’s unique chunky loop style, the Brunner rug was inspired by the glistening pebbles in the shallow waters of Lake Brunner, New Zealand’s premier rainforest lake in the South Island.

The mix of nylon, fine NZ wool and chunky felted wool make this a handsome alternative to stand alone felted wool loop structure. The inclusion of high-lustre nylon yarn adds an interesting array of glossy hues to the mix of tonal threads. Commonly, the structure is made up of 1 thick felted wool yarn 3600 tex, 3 wool singles and 1 nylon colour, so there is the option to include up to 5 colours across the total yarns. We love tufting this in tonal colours to evoke a sense of connectivity.

This clever rug finish is most suited for living and lounge rooms with moderate to high traffic areas. All loop pile structures are a strong alternative to traditional cut pile finishes as the side of the yarns are the wear points as opposed to cut piles.
